Heritage plays an important role in present day Centre Wellington. Our many heritage buildings tell the story of settlers and their descendants who shaped our community to what it is today.
The conservation of the Township's cultural heritage resources is an important part of the Township's commitment to creating a vibrant, liveable, and prosperous community. The Township's many heritage resources, buildings and landscapes tell the story of the evolution of the community to what it is today.
Planning staff, as well as the Heritage Centre Wellington Committee, promote heritage conservation through the documentation and protection of heritage properties and the implementation of policies to help guide change to these properties.
