Infrastructure

Communications: A fully interconnected telecommunications network is available for industrial/commercial/residential uses.

Telephone: Bell Canada and Wightman provide local telephone service to industrial/commercial/residential consumers.

Postal Services: Postal Service is provided by Canada Post and depending on your location in Centre Wellington it is either delivered by mail carrier or available at a central location.

Internet: Bell Sympatico, Wightman, Atria, Everus, Execulink, Atcooen, Sentex, Golden Triangle online are examples of local Internet providers available, which offers dial-up, high speed and fibre optics.

Cable TV: Cogeco Cable Solutions and Bell Digital TV provide Cable television services in Centre Wellington.

Media: Centre Wellington is served by its own local newspapers, the Fergus/Elora News Express and The Wellington Advertiser, as well as other regional newspapers.  Centre Wellington also has it's very own community radio station 92.9 The Grand and a local television network Cogego. 

Transportation

Ports
Centre Wellington is located 61 km from the Port of Hamilton and 106 km from the Port of Toronto. Full docking, loading, unloading & warehousing facilities are available at both locations. Both ports are located on the St. Lawrence Seaway System providing direct access to worldwide shipping lanes.

Railway
Goods and Passenger services are available in Guelph, just a short drive down Highway 6. The previous rail lines into Centre Wellington are now part of the 47 Km. Elora-Cataract Multi-use Trail System which travels from Elora to the Region of Peel.


Air Transport
Lester B. Pearson International Airport located in Toronto is within 100 km (60 miles) of Centre Wellington via Highway 6 and Highway 401, providing passenger and cargo services to most major North American and overseas destinations.
Hamilton International Airport is located 75 km (45 miles) away, via Highway 6, offering daily passenger and cargo flights across North America.
Centre Wellington is also served by two local airports - the Region of Waterloo International Airport is located just 30 miles to the Southwest.  This airport can handle jets up to the 737.
The Guelph airport (15 miles to the south) is capable of servicing a small private aircraft.


Highways 
MacDonald-Cartier Freeway (Highway 401) is less than 1 hour drive south from any point in Centre Wellington.
Highway 401 provides direct access to London, Windsor, Detroit to the west and Toronto, Montreal to the east.
Highway 6 goes through Centre Wellington and connects with Highway 401 and the Queen Elizabeth Way at Hamilton/Burlington and gives easy access to the Niagara Falls - Buffalo area.
Highways 7, 25, and 24 are a short 10 minutes drive from Centre Wellington.

Electrical Power
Centre Wellington’s urban centre is powered by Centre Wellington Hydro. Hydro One provides power to outlying dwellings and businesses.
