Parks, Recreation & Culture Master Plan 2009
The Parks, Recreation and Culture Master Plan articulates the planning and developmental needs and
priorities associated with recreation programs, facilities, culture, parks, trails and open space in the
Township of Centre Wellington. The master planning period extends over a ten year period to 2018.
The Master Plan has been developed based upon research, analysis of demographics and relevant trends,
outreach initiatives with the community, consultations with local stakeholders and municipal staff, and
detailed needs assessments.
These analyses form the basis of the Master Plan’s recommendations, which pertain to a wide range of
parks, recreation and cultural facilities and services required to address needs of the current and future
populations in Centre Wellington.
