Members of the public who wish to make presentations to Council on their own behalf or on behalf of special interest groups or organizations are called "Community Delegations."  Centre Wellington Council welcomes and encourages members of the public to comment on matters of interest to them.

Before you decide to appear before Council or a Committee, you are encouraged to discuss your concerns with Township staff.  If your issue cannot be resolved, staff will assist you with the process of registering as a delegation.

If you are interested in addressing Council or Committee of the Whole as a delegation, please submit a Community Delegation Form.  Staff in Legislative Services will review your request and schedule a date and time for the presentation.  The completed Community Delegation Form will become part of the agenda and all of the information contained in the form, including names, will be available to the public through the meeting agenda.

If you wish to address Council regarding an item on the agenda, please contact Legislative Services.

For more information please review the Community Delegations Report or Council's Procedure By-law.

Personal information is collected under the authority of the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 2001, c. 25 for the purpose of registering a Community Delegation for a presentation to the Council of the Township of Centre Wellington. The requester's name and address, as well as any material submitted, become part of the public record, and may be published in a report to Council, included in a Council Agenda and posted on the Township's website. Questions relating to the collection, use and disclosure of this personal information may be addressed to the Deputy Clerk at 1 MacDonald Square, Elora ON N0B 1S0. Telephone 519.846.9691 ext. 242.
