The Aquatic Centre design with its multi-pool facility maximizes the usage, pleasure and efficiency of the facility for a variety of uses including fitness swims, public swims, aquafit and swimming lessons. The pool is also available for private pool parties. The Centre is fully accessible.
Key features include:
- A 25-metre lap pool with 6 competitive swimming lanes. The temperature is regulated at approximately 82 degrees. Total capacity 188.
- The large stepped tot/leisure area with water jet sprays and water umbrella provides a safe environment for children's first introduction to the water. Capacity 75.
- The fully accessible leisure pool doubles for therapy and rehabilitation classes. The temperature is regulated at approximately 90 to 92 degrees.
- The one storey water slide is located in the leisure pool. It is open during public swims. You can add the slide as part of your private pool rental.
- A whirlpool with seating for 12 people has the temperature regulated at 98 to 100 degrees. A chairlift is available for easy access.
- Other features of the pool area include a viewing lounge for family members to sit adjacent to the leisure pool where they can watch the activities in the pools.
- Amenities include a family change room, and separate men and women change rooms.
- The whole facility including the main pool, leisure pool and change rooms is handicap accessible.
