“The health of Centre Wellington residents and staff is our priority,” said Mayor Kelly Linton. “With the COVID-19 situation changing rapidly, we are making our decisions with the support of Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health and other health professionals. We will continue to monitor this situation and make appropriate changes as necessary.”

Township staff have taken additional precaution when it comes to in-home service requests and water meter service.  These services are cancelled until further notice.  Township Building Officials will still conduct legislated visits.  These appointments can be booked or cancelled by calling 519-846-9691 ext. 907.

To prevent the risk and spread of germs and viruses the township is:

  • working closely with our regional, provincial and federal counterparts to monitor the most current information and take appropriate actions at the direction of the Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health;
  • increasing signage to create awareness of good hygiene and disease prevention in all facilities;
  • ensuring soap dispensers are replenished and are in good working order;
  • increasing cleaning of high touch areas in our facilities including banisters, handles, elevator buttons and doorknobs.

We encourage our residents to delay any non-essential visits to the Municipal office in Elora at this time.

  • Business can be conducted on-line or by phone by calling 519-846-9691;
  • Taxes can be paid through financial institutions via internet or telephone banking;
