Connect CW offers new virtual experiences for residents at home

Posted On Monday April 27, 2020

CENTRE WELLINGTON – At a time when we are all practicing self-isolation and physical distancing due to COVID-19, it is important now more than ever to come together and celebrate the innovation and local talent that's happening in Centre Wellington. The Township has added a new virtual platform to Connect CW, a one-stop community hub linking residents to activities, workshops and virtual experiences related to recreation, leisure, fitness, well-being, education, culture, arts and more.

“I am so impressed with our staff, who have found new ways to keep our residents engaged and moving during this pandemic” said Mayor Kelly Linton. “These new experiences and links to virtual opportunities to access fitness, kid’s activities, arts and culture and community resources are invaluable. I encourage everyone to visit Connect CW and get involved!”

There are four zones, Fitness & Active Living, Community Resources, Arts & Culture and a Kids Zone. These tabs offer many free activities for residents to enjoy. From yoga to colouring and meals on wheels to art classes, there is something for everyone. Staff will continue to add to the site, as new activities, support links and experiences arise.
If you are in Centre Wellington and surrounding area, and offer a free or fee based offering, please visit and fill out a form to have your business or services listed on the Connect CW platform.

Don’t forget, as you complete some of the activities, and you have a fun photo or video of what you're doing at home to stay connected and together, share and tag us at #cwconnects.
