CENTRE WELLINGTON – The Township of Centre Wellington’s first priority is our residents.

The Township continues to work closely with the Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health (WDG Public Health), Groves Hospital, health professionals in Wellington County and our neighbouring municipalities to monitor and respond accordingly to the COVID-19 situation.

At this time the Township has made the following decisions in order to ensure the safety of our staff and customers at our facilities and programs.

Recreational Programming

The Township has cancelled all programming and March break camps from Saturday, March 14 to Sunday, March 22.  This includes:

  • March Break Camp at the CW Community Sportsplex
  • All public skates and drop-in skating programs
  • The Aquatic Centre (this includes all public and registered swims)
  • Pickleball games
  • Fitness classes

Third-party ice and facility rentals will operate over the weekend.  Staff will re-assess future third-party facility rentals on Monday, March 16.  No new rentals will be booked over the weekend.

The weight room will operate during its normal business hours, and staff will review the operation of the weight room on Monday, March 16.

The CW Community Sportsplex and the Elora Community Centre facilities will remain open at this time.

Fergus Grand Theatre

The Fergus Grand Theatre will operate throughout the weekend, all scheduled performances will take place.
Future show information will be made and communicated out in the near future.

Victoria Park Senior Centre

The Victoria Park Senior Centre will be closed on Monday, March 16.  Staff will assess programs and services offered by the centre and communicate further cancellations or changes to programs early next week.
