Centre Wellington – Tonight's planned overnight watermain construction and water shut down has been cancelled due to weather conditions. This work has been rescheduled for 11 p.m. on Monday, April 23 to 5 a.m. on Tuesday, April 24. The work will be completed overnight to minimize any impacts on downtown businesses and residents.
The water shutdown is required so that the contractor can install a temporary water line to serve the buildings on the north side of the St. David Street bridge construction. The contractor will be excavating down to the watermain to install new valves and the temporary waterline. This work will cause some overnight construction noise in downtown Fergus around the intersection of St. David Street and St. Andrew Street.
Properties impacted by the water shut down and construction will receive written notification.
