CENTRE WELLINGTON – June is Seniors' Month, and we could not be more excited to celebrate how important our seniors in Centre Wellington mean to us. June 2018 marks the 34th annual Seniors' Month and Ontario's theme is "Now's the time to start something new", highlighting that age does not prevent any of us from leading fulfilling lives. Seniors continue to contribute to our community and we can all benefit from their wisdom, friendship, and experience.
"Our seniors are key contributors in our community and we continue to learn daily from them, through their experiences and stories" said Kathryn Morgan, Supervisor of Senior Services. "June is a month where we put our seniors on a pedestal and celebrate their importance in our lives. We feel honoured to spend each day with our seniors at the Victoria Park Seniors Centre, and look forward to showing them how much we care throughout seniors' month".
There will be a number of events taking place at the Centre that are open to all in our community. Make sure you visit our website at centrewellington.ca/seniorscentre for a complete list of events and seminars:
