Centre Wellington Fire Rescue to Host Senior Safety Day

CENTRE WELLINGTON – Centre Wellington Fire Rescue is inviting local seniors and their families to attend a free Senior Safety Day event on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at the Jefferson Elora Community Centre.

This informative and engaging event will run from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM and is designed to provide seniors with valuable safety information, community resources, and practical tips to support independent and healthy living.

Attendees will hear from a range of community organizations, including the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Guelph-Wellington Community Paramedicine, Crime Stoppers/Victim Services, VON, and Centre Wellington Fire Rescue.

Event Schedule:

  • 10:00 AM: Sign-in
  • 10:30 AM: Opening Remarks
  • 10:45 AM: Ontario Provincial Police Presentation
  • 11:35 AM: Guelph-Wellington Community Paramedicine Presentation
  • 12:30 PM: Complimentary Lunch
  • 1:00 PM: Crime Stoppers/Victim Services Presentation
  • 1:45 PM: VON Presentation
  • 2:30 PM: Centre Wellington Fire Rescue Presentation
  • 3:00 PM: Closing Remarks
