Filming Notice - Elora

Visiting the Municipal Office in Elora between Friday, April 29 and May 2?

We are excited to share that filming for an upcoming production will take place at 1 MacDonald Square on the following dates:

Friday, April 26 & Monday, April 29 between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m.

Tuesday, April 30 & Wednesday, May 1 between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m.

Thursday, May 2, between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.

 

During these times (Friday, April 26 & Monday, April 29 - Thursday, May 2)

Parking directly in front of the building will not be available.

Access to the building may be delayed, however, on-site crews will assist visitors.

There will be a complete road closure at 1 MacDonald Square from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30 and Wednesday, May 1.

 

Any intermittent traffic stoppages/control will be conducted under the safe supervision of the Wellington County OPP Service.

Film crews and Township staff aim to minimize inconvenience while ensuring residents, businesses, and staff can still access necessary services during the filming period. We encourage residents to visit the Municipal Office before or after the filming period; however, we acknowledge that some may need to access services, therefore we encourage you to plan your visit accordingly and take into consideration parking limitations. Once you arrive at 1 MacDonald Square, on-site crews will assist your entrance into the Municipal office - we are still open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. regardless of filming.

Crossing Guards


Crossing guards play an important role keeping children safe on their way to and from school.

The Township decides the locations and times for guards based on traffic flow, number of children crossing and surrounding conditions.

The Township employs crossing guards at the following locations:

  • Victoria Terrace at Forfar Street E
  • Garafraxa Street E at Victoria Terrace
  • Garafraxa Street E at Perry Street
  • Belsyde Avenue E at J.D. Hogarth Public School
  • Millburn Boulevard at McTavish Street
  • Highway 6 (St. David Street N) at Strathallan Street
  • Highway 6 (Tower Street S) at Belsyde Avenue W
