Every year, preventable drownings claim too many lives. Water safety isn’t just important—it’s critical. That’s why the Lifesaving Society’s Swim to Survive and Swim to Survive Plus programs are so vital. These programs equip Grade 3 and Grade 7 students in Centre Wellington with the essential skills they need to survive an unexpected fall into water. Since 2007, the Township of Centre Wellington has delivered Swim to Survive programming to students in Centre Wellington and surrounding areas annually.
Right now, we have an opportunity to eliminate all financial barriers so that every child—regardless of their family’s circumstances—can access this life-saving training. But we need your help.
Why This Matters
🚨 Drowning is a leading cause of preventable death in children.
🚨 Many kids in our community don’t know how to swim or what to do in an emergency.
🚨 This program provides critical water survival skills, including treading water, swimming to safety, and safe entry/exit techniques.
How You Can Make a Difference
✅ Co-Sponsor the Grade 3 Swim to Survive Program – $1,075 + HST (Thanks to Wightman for their generous contribution to this co-sponsorship!)
✅ Be the Sole Sponsor for Swim to Survive Plus (Grade 7) – $2,115 + HST
(Both of the above costs include bussing so that no child is left out due to transportation or financial barriers.)
Your organization’s generosity will be acknowledged through:
✔ Sponsorship recognition on the Swim to Survive letter sent home to all eligible student households
✔ Township of Centre Wellington website and social media posts
✔ Internal digital screens at the CW Community Sportsplex and Jefferson Elora Community Centre for 30 days
✔ External electronic signs at the Elora Fire Hall and CW Community Sportsplex for 30 days
This isn’t just about sponsorship—it’s about changing lives. Your support ensures that over 600 local students will have the skills to survive if they ever find themselves in trouble in the water.
Would you be willing to be part of this life-saving mission?
Thank you for considering this opportunity to make a real impact.
