Canada Day 2026 – Celebrate With Us - July 1st, 2026!

Join us for a full day of community spirit, family fun, and unforgettable moments as the Township of Centre Wellington celebrates Canada Day 2026!

We are proud to partner with incredible local organizations, volunteers, and community groups who help bring this celebration to life each year. Whether you're starting your morning with pancakes or ending the night under the fireworks, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Here’s what you can look forward to:

🥞 Pancake Breakfast
Start your day with a delicious breakfast hosted by the Elora Volunteer Firefighters Association at 1 MacDonald Square, Elora — from 7:00 am to 11:00 am.

🚗 Soap Box Derby
Cheer on local racers in this exciting and family-friendly event hosted by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Centre Wellington on David & Geddes Streets, Elora — from 8:00 am to 11:00 am.

🎉 Dominion Day Parade
Celebrate community pride at this beloved annual tradition, organized by Rotary Volunteers in Action (CW)! The parade kicks off at 11:00 am from the Jefferson Elora Community Centre. Donations to the Food Bank are welcome along the route.

🌭 Free Hotdog Lunch
Enjoy a complimentary lunch at Bissell Park from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, hosted by the Elora Lions. A community favourite made possible with support from Geddes Street Market.

🦆 Duck Race
Don’t miss this crowd favourite! Hosted by the Community Resource Centre, the duck race begins at 1:30 pm at Bissell Park.

💃 Evening Celebrations in Fergus
Head to the CW Community Sportsplex from 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm for an evening of live entertainment, cultural performances, and delicious food vendors, brought to you by Rotary Volunteers in Action (CW).

🎆 Fireworks Show
Wrap up the day with a spectacular fireworks display at 9:30 pm, proudly presented by the Township of Centre Wellington.
