Canada Day 2026 – Thank You for Celebrating With Us!

Thank you to everyone who joined us on July 1st for Canada Day celebrations across the Township of Centre Wellington!

It was wonderful to see our community come together for a day filled with connection, family fun, and local traditions. We are incredibly grateful to the volunteers, community organizations, and partners who helped bring this celebration to life. Your dedication, time, and commitment are what make community events like this possible.

A heartfelt thank you also goes to all of the residents who participated, cheered on the events, and helped make Canada Day 2026 a memorable celebration for our community.

A special thank you to our community partners who helped make the day a success:

🥞 Elora Volunteer Firefighters Association – for hosting the Canada Day Pancake Breakfast and helping start the day with a great community tradition.

🚗 Big Brothers Big Sisters of Centre Wellington – for organizing the Soap Box Derby and creating a fun experience for local racers and spectators.

🎉 Rotary Volunteers in Action (CW) – for organizing the Canada Day Parade and hosting the evening celebrations in Fergus.

🌭 Elora Lions Club – for hosting the Free Hotdog Lunch at Bissell Park and bringing the community together for a midday celebration.

🦆 Community Resource Centre – for hosting the Duck Race and adding an exciting community tradition to the festivities.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the fireworks display was cancelled this year. We appreciate the community’s understanding and look forward to bringing back this celebration feature for Canada Day 2027.
