Welcome to the Township of Centre Wellington’s Theatre for Young Audiences Program! An exciting initiative designed to bring live, interactive theatre experiences to local school groups! This program offers students a memorable introduction to the magic of live performance, fostering creativity, imagination, and a deeper appreciation for the arts.

About the Program

The Theatre for Young Audiences Program provides school-aged children in Centre Wellington with the opportunity to enjoy professional theatre productions right here at the Fergus Grand Theatre. These performances are selected specifically for young audiences and include engaging adaptations of classic tales with lots of humour, interaction, and educational value.

The Theatre for Young Audiences Program is designed to introduce local students to professional live performance while fostering creativity, imagination, and an appreciation for the arts. The Township was thrilled to welcome school groups from across Centre Wellington for this exciting cultural experience. Thank you to the teachers, students, and DuffleBag Theatre for making this year’s program such a success. 2026 Performance Highlight

On May 26, 2026 local students had the opportunity to experience the magic of live theatre through the Township of Centre Wellington’s Theatre for Young Audiences Program at the Fergus Grand Theatre. This year’s featured performance, Robin Hood by DuffleBag Theatre, brought the classic tale to life with plenty of humour, audience participation, and unforgettable moments. Students were invited to become part of the story, helping the cast create a unique and engaging theatrical experience.
