Seasonal and Part-Time Opportunities:

Seasonal and part-time opportunities are typically posted throughout the year, with increased recruitment activity in the spring and fall. Positions may be available in areas such as Parks and Recreation, Public Works, Forestry Operations, winter maintenance, and other municipal services.

Centre Wellington Fire Rescue is currently recruiting Volunteer Firefighters for our Elora and Fergus stations.

Attendance at ONE of the following information sessions is MANDATORY.  All sessions are held at the Fergus Fire Station located at 250 Queen Street West.

  • Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at 1:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at 7:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, September 17, 2026, at 7:00 p.m.

To register for a session, please contact the Fire Administration office at 519-843-1950.  Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Begin the Application Process

The Township of Centre Wellington is inviting applications for the contracted service position of Hearing Officer for the Township's Administrative Monetary Penalty System (AMPS). The Hearing Officer serves as an independent, Council-appointed adjudicator responsible for hearing appeals of decisions made by Screening Officers and issuing final decisions under the Township's administrative penalty process.

The Township is seeking individuals with experience in adjudication, administrative decision-making, municipal law, tribunal proceedings, court processes, mediation, or related fields.

Interested applicants must complete the Hearing Officer Application Form no later than August 28, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. All applications will be reviewed following the closing date, and applicants selected to proceed in the appointment process will be contacted directly.
