Councillor Barbara Lustgarten-Evoy
Barbara Lustgarten-Evoy is a proud wife and mother and a deeply dedicated community volunteer who has been working with youth and their families for over 25 years. She remains honoured to be the Township Councillor for Centre Wellington/Fergus Ward 3, is an experienced educator, and served as Trustee for Centre Wellington with the Upper Grand District School Board before being elected onto Council. Barb is the owner/operator of local small business Fergus Educational Services (est 2007) and continually finds great joy in serving our community. Barb is a professional Mediator, Co Host of Elora Fergus Podcast, has hosted several local tv and radio shows, and has written 2 books focused on building self-esteem (one for youth).
In addition to her role on Groves Hospital Foundation's Board, she is co-founder of the Volunteers in Action (CW) Rotary Club (Centre Wellington’s newest service club), and sits on the Safe Communities Mental Health PAG. She is a member of the Parent and Family Advisory Committee for CAMH and is a member of the Mutli-Stakeholders’ Group for Early Intervention for Eating Disorders with YWHO-CHEO. She is the Canadian Co-ordinator for Rotary Action Group Against Slavery (an action group against human trafficking), a Director of the International Committee with the same name (RAGAS) , and is a member of CWOW (Collaborative Women of Centre Wellington)
