Lower Driveway Boulevard Parking
The Township Parking By-Law prohibits parking on streets between 2:00 AM – 6:00 AM from November 1 – March 31 for snow clearance.
Vehicles are permitted to be parked on the paved portion of the lower driveway boulevard, provided the vehicles comply with certain conditions.
Vehicles that are not parked in accordance with the following conditions are subject to being ticketed and towed.
When you park on the lower driveway boulevard, you must follow these regulations:
- Vehicles must be on the paved, driveway portion of the lower driveway boulevard, not the landscaped (or hardscaped) portion of the lower driveway boulevard;
- Vehicles may not access the paved portion of the lower driveway boulevard by driving over the landscaped or hardscaped portions of the lower driveway boulevard;
- All of the vehicle's tires must be on the paved, hard-surface of the lower driveway boulevard;
- There can be no overhang of any part of the vehicle over the sidewalk, curb or road
When you cannot park on the Lower Driveway Boulevard
- If your driveway is connected to your neighbour’s driveway, do not park your vehicle in a way that crosses the property line or hinders access to the neighbour's driveway
- Do not park on the lower driveway boulevard if your driveway is within 9.0 metres of an intersection. This helps to ensure drivers are able to see on-coming traffic, pedestrians and other road users when moving through the intersection.
The illustrations below provide an example of how to park legally on the lower driveway boulevard and examples of when tickets might be issued.
