Vehicles parked on the street can delay or prevent effective snow-clearing operations. Snow plow operators try to plow all streets back to the curb, but any road obstruction, such as a parked vehicle, makes this impossible and potentially dangerous.
The Township of Centre Wellington Parking By-law states:
- No person shall park a vehicle upon a highway in such a manner as to interfere with the movement of traffic or the clearing of snow from the highway.
- No person shall park a vehicle upon a highway or on a municipal parking lot between the hours of 2 am and 6 am of any day during the months of November, December, January, February and March of any year.
