Let’s Connect CW: Help Shape the Future of Community Engagement in Centre Wellington!

CENTRE WELLINGTON – The Township of Centre Wellington is launching an exciting new initiative, and the community is invited to be a part of it.

“Let’s Connect CW”, is a bold new initiative toward building a stronger, more connected community through meaningful engagement. This is the community's opportunity to help shape how the Township listens, learns, and works together in Centre Wellington.  This initiative goes beyond a single project — it’s about establishing lasting trust and creating better ways for the Township and residents to work together.

As part of this initiative, the Township is developing its first-ever community engagement strategy — and public input is essential in shaping it.

"We recognize that in the past, our community engagement efforts haven’t always met the expectations of our residents. Sometimes, communication was limited or one-way, and not everyone felt truly heard or included. That’s why this new community engagement strategy is so important — it’s our commitment to change. We want to rebuild trust by creating meaningful, two-way conversations where every voice matters. This strategy isn’t just about checking a box; it’s about transforming how we connect, collaborate, and grow together as a community. We’re listening, learning, and ready to do better." Said Kendra Martin, Manager of Strategic Initiatives and Communications.

The Township is reimagining how it connects with residents, business owners, and community champions. The strategy will define the vision and values that guide how engagement takes place on the issues that matter most to the community.

Residents are encouraged to share:

• Their experiences engaging with the Township
• Ideas for how engagement can be improved
• Thoughts on what inclusive, respectful engagement looks like
• Suggestions for removing barriers to participation

To make participation easy and enjoyable, the Township is offering a variety of ways to get involved, including coffee chats, community pop-up booths, online activities and host-your-own engagement events.

“Community feedback will directly inform the development of the new engagement strategy — a roadmap that will shape how the Township fosters trust, transparency, and collaboration in all of its work. Our goal is to ensure that everyone in Centre Wellington feels heard, valued, and included.” Said Martin.
