Paid Parking Overview
The Paid Parking Program will include two distinct parking zones:
Zone 1: Paid Parking with high turnover (3-hour time limit). Park for no longer than 3-hours at a time. You can return 5 hours after your first parking time.
Example: Parking in Zone 1 at 9:00am, remove vehicle by not later than 12:00pm. Permitted re-entry at 2:00pm.
Zone 2: Paid Parking for longer-term parking (up to 24 hours).
Payment can be made via the Kiosks available throughout downtown Elora, or by scanning the QR Code posted throughout the downtown core. For maps detailing the location of the Parking Kiosks and QR Code Signs, please visit Parking Maps located in the Downtown Parking tab below.
IMPORTANT: 3-hour maximum stay. Return after 5 hours from your start time
Example:
9:00 AM start → Return after 2:00 PM
Free Resident Parking
Residents can register their vehicles online here annually to continue parking for free in Downtown Elora. Registration can be completed online or in person at the Municipal Office during regular business hours. To register, residents must provide their license plate number.
Residents would be exempt from paying for parking in Zones 1 and 2; however, they will still be required to adhere to posted time limits and other parking regulations. Penalty notices may be issued to vehicles not in compliance.
Hourly Parking Rates
Paid Parking is $3.00 per hour
Zone 1 only permits a maximum of 3-hour parking. Switching parking spaces does NOT reset your permitted time.
Zone 2 permits parking up to 24 hours at a time, and has a daily maximum payment of $15.00.
Paid parking is in effect seven days a week from 9:00am to 7:00pm.
