Culture Days 2026: Together We Create

September 18 – October 4, 2026

Creativity thrives where people come together. In Centre Wellington, art is not created in isolation—it is shaped by shared experiences, collaboration, and a strong sense of community. From informal gatherings and workshops to festivals and performances, creativity is often a collective act, bringing people of all ages, cultures, and backgrounds together.

Centre Wellington’s towns and villages—Elora, Fergus, and Belwood—each contribute their own character, traditions, and creative voices. When these voices come together, they create something greater than the sum of their parts. Artists collaborate across disciplines, generations share skills and stories, and cultural traditions are celebrated side by side. This spirit of participation and connection lies at the heart of the Township’s cultural life.

Centre Wellington’s strong commitment to arts and culture continues to be recognized nationally. The Township has been named a Top Participating Community by Culture Days for the past three consecutive years, placing in the Top 10 across Canada and highlighting the strength of local collaboration between artists, organizations, volunteers, and community partners.

Surrounded by inspiring landscapes and rich heritage, Centre Wellington offers fertile ground for creativity to flourish. Whether through visual art, music, dance, storytelling, culinary arts, or hands-on making, the act of creation becomes a way to connect—with place, with one another, and with the broader community.

The Culture Days 2026 theme, Together We Create, celebrates creativity as a shared journey. It recognizes the power of collaboration, inclusion, and collective expression, and highlights how art strengthens community connections while creating space for understanding, celebration, and belonging.
