Business Park Land Sale Advances Employment Growth

CENTRE WELLINGTON – The Township is pleased to announce the sale of Lot 7 in the North Fergus Business Park to Van Grootheest Holdings Ltd., supporting continued investment in local employment lands.

The 2.65-acre property is planned for development as a multi-unit commercial site. The proposed development includes two buildings totalling approximately 30,000 square feet, with about 17 units in a range of sizes.

The new commercial space is expected to accommodate a variety of light commercial, office, storage, and trade-related uses, with a focus on meeting the needs of small trades businesses and other growing local enterprises.

“This sale is another positive step in the development of the North Fergus Business Park and in advancing Centre Wellington’s economic growth,” said Dan Wilson, Chief Administrative Officer.  “By creating flexible, well-located commercial space, this development will help local businesses establish, expand and create jobs in our community.”

“Centre Wellington is home to talented entrepreneurs and growing businesses that need flexible, well-located space to start and expand,” said Eric Van Grootheest, President of Van Grootheest Holdings.  “This project will create 17 commercial units designed to support a range of businesses and contribute to job creation.  We appreciate the Township's collaborative approach as we work toward construction this fall."

The sale of Lot 7 builds on continued momentum in the North Fergus Business Park, which is attracting new investment and helping create space for businesses to grow in Centre Wellington.
