Centre Wellington Warmly Welcomes New Residents with Second New Resident Reception
CENTRE WELLINGTON – Back for the second time, the Township is excited to welcome new residents of Centre Wellington with the New Resident Reception. If you have recently moved to Fergus, Elora, Salem, or Belwood, this initiative has been designed to help residents settle into their new community with confidence, creating a welcoming environment for all residents to foster a strong sense of belonging.
The New Resident Reception will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex (550 Belsyde Ave, Fergus) and will feature a wide range of resources tailored to help new residents become acquainted with their new home. Attendees will have the opportunity to:
- Learn about recreation programs, parks, facilities, trails and community events.
- Discover local businesses, services, organizations and our upcoming Volunteer Fair.
- Speak with Township representatives and learn more about municipal services.
- Meet other new residents and begin building connections within your community.
