Notice of Pesticide Use

The Township of Centre Wellington will be controlling noxious weeds along the following roadsides under its jurisdiction:

• Jones Baseline, Nichol
• Nichol Peel Townline, Nichol
• Sideroad 5, Nichol
• Sideroad 10, Nichol
• Sideroad 15, Nichol
• Irvine St, Nichol
• Beatty Line N, Nichol
• Gerrie Rd, Nichol
• Sideroad 5, Pilkington
• Sideroad 11, Pilkington
• Middlebrook Road, Pilkington
• First Line W, Pilkington
• Third Line W, Pilkington
• Eighth Line W, Pilkington

The following herbicides registered under the Pest Control Products Act will be used:

• ClearView Herbicide (Registration No. 29752) containing the active ingredients Aminopyralid, present as potassium salt and Metsulfuron – methyl
• Navius FLEX (Registration No. 30922) containing the active ingredients Metsulfuron-methyl and Aminocyclopyrachlor

This notice is provided under Section 79 of Ontario Regulation 63/09 of the Pesticides Act as an alternative to signage.

This pesticide use is in accordance with the public health and safety exception to the cosmetic pesticide ban in section 7.1 (2) of the Pesticides Act.
