UPDATE: Status of Paid Parking System in Downtown Elora
Centre Wellington – June 12, 2026 - The Township of Centre Wellington would like to provide an update regarding the temporary suspension of the paid parking system in Downtown Elora.
We want to reassure the public of the integrity of our internal networks and that they have not been compromised. Based on the information provided by the service provider to date, there is no evidence that any personal information, payment details, or financial data have been compromised. Furthermore, the system used to register license plate information operates on a separate network, which is unaffected by this issue, along with the Township’s other municipal online payment systems.
While internal review is underway, the paid parking system remains offline, and all physical parking kiosks have been disabled. During this time, no parking ticket payments are required, and absolutely no additional late fines or penalties will be incurred while these services remain offline. Please continue to abide by all standard municipal bylaws, posted parking signage and designated time limits.
At this time, the Township has no additional information to share beyond these operational updates. We are continuing to monitor the situation closely alongside our service provider, and official updates will be communicated to the public as soon as verified information becomes available.
We sincerely appreciate the public’s continued patience and understanding as we work to resolve this matter.
